Who is he?
Raised near the Electric City (Scranton PA) Brendan has been playing drums since the age of 10 and professionally since the ripe age of 14. Growing up in North East Pennsylvania established his roots as a rock n' roll, bluesy, country thumpin' go to. Studying under jazz guru, Marko Marcinko, he got his swing on while picking up useful bits of info from greats such as Steve Smith (Journey, Vital Information) Chad Szeliga (Breaking Benjamin, Black Label Society) and Bob Nowak (Scranton Philharmonic).
While studying for his Bachelor's Degree in Music Recording Technology at Lebanon Valley College, he perfected his orchestral and hand percussion skill set. He spent 5+ years touring with his original ska/reggae band, Skip Town Matty, throughout the country and shared the stage with the likes of Less Than Jake, The Mighty Mighty Bostones, Real Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto and many others.
Now hailing out of Astoria Queens he spends his time playing out as a free lance drummer for various projects and was recently shown jamming side by side with Andrew W.K, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) QuestLove (The Roots) and many others on VH1's OMusic Awards.
His new position as drummer in the Irish jig punk band, The Prodigals, has increased Brendan's out of town, as well as in town, touring schedule. With a weekly gig at Paddy Reily's on 29th and 2nd and an extensive summer festival/ March madness tours, the tunes have not slowed down.
He recently received his first drum endorsement with the NY based drum company, Precision Drums.
He also prefers third person.
